FAQs
How long do game days typically last?
Teams in leagues are slotted for 1 hour matchups, and pickup for league members usually happens after the last game time slot. Weekend game times usually run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Weekday game times are from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Tournaments typically start at 9:30 AM, and follow a rolling schedule after that.
What happens if I can’t make a game, or if my teammate can’t make it?
No worries! If you or your teammate can’t attend a game, you can have a substitute player from the same division, except during playoffs. Substitutes that have played for over 60% of the regular season may attend playoffs.
What happens if my entire team can’t make the game this week?
If your whole team is unavailable, you may let the league organizers know and they will usually be able to fill your spot with another team. If you do not let the league organizers know and you simply do not show up, the game will be marked as a forfeit and your team will receive a loss on your record. As long as at least half of the team is present, your team will avoid a forfeit.
Can I join the league as a solo player?
Absolutely! Solo players are welcome to join. You’ll be placed on a team in the same division during tryouts. If you meet players you’d like to team up with, you can request to play together.
How are teams divided into divisions?
At the start of each season, we hold a tryout day where teams are placed into divisions based on their skill level and familiarity with the sport.
Are there any requirements for teams?
Yes, all teams must be co-ed, except for Women’s Wednesday and Men’s Monday, which are both gender specific doubles leagues. The format for team compositions for tournaments is always varying and will be specified for each upcoming tournament.
